1.2083 ESR
Description
1.2083 Steel is typical Stainless Chrome Plastic Mold Steel. German die steel 1.2083 is a chromium content up to 13% of the plastic die steel. 1.2083 mold steel has good polishing and excellent wear resistance, is often used to prevent acid plastic mold.

Characteristics
1. High-level cleanliness and finer microstructure through ESR.
2. 1.2083 (ESR) already process quenching and tempering heat treatment first before dispatching from the factory in order to reduce customer’s cost.
3. Good corrosion resistance:Suitable in the plastics and mirror mould
4. Good wearability:The best range of hardness is HRC50-52.
5. The surface is similar to mirror after grind.

Heat Treatment
Preheat (a): 540~650℃(1110~1560℉)
Preheat (b) : 840~870℃(1110~1560℉)
Quenching Temperature: 1020~1050℃(1870~1920℉) ,
proposition 1030℃(1885℉)
Quenching method : Oil or salt bath at 250~550℃, and air or furnace
cooling.
Tempering :180℃ min. (proposition 250℃ or 500℃)
